We answer support email within one business day. When something has gone wrong, the fastest fix comes from including: the extension version shown at the bottom of the popup, the part number you were posting, and what the popup or the on-page card said after the fill.
Getting started
- Sign in to your CounterList AI workspace in the browser. Your dealership's parts manager creates accounts — the extension does not have its own sign-up.
- Upload your parts sheet (CSV or spreadsheet) and map the columns once, or add a single part by typing its part number. Photos resolve from the manufacturer's catalogue where one is supported; otherwise upload your own.
- Install the extension and click its icon. It picks up the session from the web app automatically and shows your name and parts count.
- Pick a part and click Post. The extension opens Facebook Marketplace's "Item for sale" form in a new tab and fills it. Read every field, then click Publish yourself.
Common issues
The extension says it isn't connected
The extension reads your session from an open CounterList AI tab. Open the web app, sign in, then click the extension icon again. If the popup still shows signed out, sign out and back in once — that reissues the session token the extension reads.
The popup shows an old version number
Chrome sometimes keeps a cached copy of an extension after an update. Go to chrome://extensions, turn Developer mode on, and click Update. The version at the bottom of the popup should match the latest release.
A card beside the form says "Still needs you"
That is the extension telling you what it could not fill, with the value to type. The usual row is Price, which is left blank when your sheet has no price for that part — CounterList never enters $0. Type the value on the form and the row ticks itself off. Press Alt+C to copy the next value to your clipboard.
Category stayed empty and Next is greyed out
Facebook's Category is a scrolling menu that sometimes re-renders as the page loads. Click the Category box and pick Auto parts (under Hobbies), then continue. If it happens on every part, tell us — Facebook may have changed the form, and we ship the fix.
SKU or Product tags did not fill
Those two fields live inside Facebook's "More details" panel, which the extension opens before filling. If the panel did not open in time, expand it yourself and the card shows you the SKU (the part number) and the tags to type.
A part has no photo
A catalogue does not publish an image for every part number, and photos are attached automatically only from a manufacturer's own accessory catalogue — a dealer storefront's photographs are not ours to copy. Upload your own photos of the part in the web app; the extension attaches those instead. CounterList will not substitute a stock image.
Facebook Marketplace fields look empty at first
Marketplace re-renders its form as it loads, so a field can fill, blank out, and fill again while the page settles. Let it finish, then review every field before publishing.
Nothing gets posted to Facebook
That is by design. The extension fills the Marketplace form and stops. Reviewing the listing and clicking Publish is always a human action.
Accounts and data
Password resets: your dealership's Parts Manager, General Manager or Super Admin can issue a new temporary password from User Management in the web app. Change it to something only you know as soon as you sign in.
Removing access: deleting a user in User Management ends their access immediately, including in the extension.
Deleting your data: email us from your work address and we will delete your dealership's workspace and its parts data. See the privacy policy for what we store and why.
Reporting a security issue
If you believe you have found a vulnerability, email support@owl360it.com with the details and how to reproduce it. Please give us a chance to fix it before disclosing it publicly. We read these first.
